Ash&Kar were born on the island of 'Oahu and grew-up with similar lifestyles and family values. Their love for the land, culture, and arts provided them a platform to share their favorite art of traditional haku lei making with family and friends. Haku lei making is a lifestyle that Ash&Kar have embraced to its full potential which led to the creation of Na La'ahia, a traditional haku lei making workshop for the classic spirit!

Haku lei making has become a lifestyle for Ash&Kar, from the gathering stage to the creative crafting stage. Crafting a haku has been an outlet for stressful days, creating a gift for someone special, and a way to perpetuate the Native Hawaiian art. All haku leis are creatively original and have its own potential embodied within the lei that will transcend to the recipient of the haku. They believe positive vibes and open minds will create a beautiful haku. How can a haku be anything but beautiful if its made from the land?

Na La'ahia's mission is to bring together the community, tourist, or anyone interested in crafting a traditional haku lei, in hopes that they will take what they learn and embrace the traditional haku lei making lifestyle.
